We are seeking a Financial Reporting Manager to join our team. The Financial Reporting Manager will report to the Senior Manager of Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and filing of all required filings, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations, and managing the internal and external reporting processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting knowledge, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. This is a unique opportunity to join a high-impact finance team at a time of significant transition, where you will be closely involved in the financial reporting and governance that are critical to the company's evolving needs.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Lead the preparation and filing of quarterly and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
  • Maintain strong internal controls over the financial reporting process, including review of key disclosures, accounting policies, and reporting frameworks
  • Interpret and apply U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations to ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements.
  • Oversee the accounting and reporting of stock-based compensation and earnings per share disclosures, ensuring proper treatment of equity awards in financial statements.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate timely and efficient audits, ensuring all necessary supporting documentation is provided.
  • Assist technical accounting team by providing conclusions on complex financial transactions, new accounting standards, and SEC regulations
  • Manage, mentor, and develop junior team members, providing guidance and ensuring high standards of performance and compliance.
  • Take the lead on special projects within the accounting function, researching issues and proposing potential solutions and alternatives, discussing with key stakeholders, and ultimately contributing to improved accounting processes.
  • Work closely with internal teams (FP&A, tax, corp dev, etc.) and external advisors (e.g., legal counsel) as needed to support all financial data reporting needs


Qualifications and Skills:



  • Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience.
  • CPA
  • 4-6 years of relevant accounting and financial reporting experience, with a mix of public accounting (Big 4 preferred) and industry experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of US GAAP, SEC regulations and SOX controls.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets).
  • Works well in a team environment, as well as independently.
  • Excellent research & analytical skills and a detail-oriented mindset
  • Ability to prioritize effectively, meet deadlines, and follow through to execute all tasks.


You have an advantage if you bring:



  • SEC reporting or IPO experience
  • Familiarity with Netsuite and Workiva
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A self-starter attitude with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • A collaborative spirit.


Salary Range: $120k - $150K

In accordance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB 19-085) the approximate compensation range for this role in Colorado is listed above. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors, such as knowledge, skills, and abilities.
