At our Hercules, CA R&D centers, you will be working with a small, nimble, dynamic, and fun team of brilliant scientists and engineers to bring clinical diagnostics products to market. You would be putting together prototypes, you would be running characterization studies and experiments on a prototype instrument, you would be investigating issues, you would be designing improvements based on your findings and you would be putting together design packages and documentation - All under the guidance of experienced engineers and scientists

How You'll Make An Impact:



  • Assist senior scientists/engineers in the evaluation of microfluidic instrument assemblies through running biochemical test methods, detailed data analysis, and lab experiment set up.
  • Assist senior scientists/engineers in the analysis of experimental data including data processing and analysis using software tools.
  • Perform root-cause investigations on systems and components to correct problems and improve product quality and reliability.
  • Generate and release project documentation (test procedures, test reports, defect reporting, etc.) to support the development and manufacture of world class life science instruments.


What You Bring:



  • Education: Currently enrolled as an undergraduate (sophomore/junior) student pursuing a degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Biomedical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Must have a 3.0 cumulative overall GPA or better (on a 4.0 scale).
  • Basic understanding of scientific methods, testing, and statisics.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite. Knowledge of Python, C, C++, C#, Java, or Arduino a plus
  • Knowledge of Operating System such as Windows 10 or above and QNX is plus.
  • Strong problem solving, organizational, and communication skills are required.

Compensation: The estimated hourly range for this position is $25 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors.
