Position Purpose

The successful candidate will perform classroom, range exercises and over the road instruction related to CDL training classes at Stark State College.

Classes are offered for both Class A and Class B CDL training.

Teach andperform classroom, range exercises and over the road instruction related to CDL training classes at Stark State College.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Requires effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Requires experience using MS Office products.
  • Must be able to meet College insurability requirements
Additional requirements to teachCLASS A:
  • Must hold an Ohio Class ACDLLicense and
  • have 3 years of full-time equivalent driving experience.
Additional requirements to teachCLASS B:
  • Must hold an Ohio Class BCDLLicense and
  • Must have 3 years of full-time equivalent driving experience.


Class A and/or Class B Commercial Driving experience and industry experience.

Stark State College utilizes E-Verify to ensure compliance with applicable employment eligibility laws. E-Verify is an electronic system used to confirm the employment eligibility of new hires.
