Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Senior Test Technician to join our rapidly expanding team in Warren, MI. Our services include full-vehicle testing, climatics and environmental simulation, fuels and fluids testing, polymer and composites analysis, materials testing, corrosion, vibration, hydraulic and dynamics testing, hybrid and electric vehicle battery testing, and many more critical services.



Responsibilities

    Interpret and work to several OEM test specifications
  • Interpret and work with SAE and ASTM standards
  • Safely operate and maintain test stands and related equipment in compliance with company policies and safety requirements.
  • Create and update project timelines for multiple customers
  • Use of various data acquisition equipment
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Identify test equipment, lab facilities, and fixture resources to complete various testing per test plans
  • Review test data and present to customers (OEM and Tier 1 & 2 suppliers)
  • Work with the report team to create final reports for customers
  • Effectively communicate test details, concerns, and timing with multiple customers
  • Work closely with other technicians


Skills / Qualifications

  • High School diploma, 2 year degree preferred in technical field
  • 1-3 years experience in Automotive engineering or similar field
  • Mechanical/Electrical Problem solving
  • Following test and specification instructions
  • Experience in interpreting testing procedures and requirements
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint
  • Familiarity with automotive components a plus
