Job Description

Danfoss is seeking a Operations Supervisor to join our Cleveland, TN facility. The Operations Supervisor will manage the receiving, storage, picking, and shipping of warehouse items while ensuring the smooth, accurate, and efficient handling of material and performance to achieve on-time shipments to customers. This position will play a key part in driving a continuous improvement throughout the organization.

The Operations Supervisor will operate daily out of Cleveland, TN facility reporting directly to the Plant Director. Domestic relocation support may be available. However, work authorization support cannot be provided.



Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following.




  • Ensure that adequate equipment is available and implemented safely and efficiently.
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with customers, suppliers, contractors, and key intra-company people to effectively manage the operation for the best results.
  • Actively participates in cross-functional company-wide teams to assist in driving quality improvements, process improvements, business system enhancements, and process standardization.
  • Maintain adequate metrics to ensure levels of performance are known and improved upon.
  • Manage the daily activities of all employees.
  • Leads, develops, and mentors employees while providing feedback on a quarterly basis.
  • Assists in the creation of training plans and programs and promotes cross-training opportunities.
  • Counsel and coach employees as necessary.
  • Implement and enforce all policies, practices, and benefits and employ effective leadership techniques to ensure fair and equitable treatment of all people working at the facility.

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution is preferred or 3-Years minimum experience working in an analytical or team lead or supervisory role within a manufacturing, distribution or related environment is needed.
  • Ability to clearly communicate goals, tasks, and requirements to others
  • Possess a continuous improvement mindset
  • Experience working in SAP ERP system is preferred
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Excel)
  • Ability to manage cultural change
  • Self-motivated with the ability to self-direct
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship

  • CQE/CPIM/CSCP Certification
  • Lean certification
