Overview
The US Oncology Network is looking for a Remote Senior Project Executiveto join our team at Texas Oncology. The US Oncology Network is one of the nation's largest networks of community-based oncology physicians dedicated to advancing cancer care in America. The US Oncology Network is supported by McKesson Corporation focused on empowering a vibrant and sustainable community patient care delivery system to advance the science, technology, and quality of care. What does the Senior Project Executive do? The Project Executive will lead all project management and ongoing real estate activities specific to Texas Oncology. The position will be the primary construction project advisor to Texas Oncology and McKesson-supported projects, leading and driving all capital project discussions and decision-making. This Project Executive role will direct, confer, and collaborate with all other project functions to support the needs of capital projects. The successful candidate will mostly lean on their own experience in project management and/or functional management to direct the decision-making process, including but not limited to capital planning, project management, benchmarking, and other/varied key initiatives. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
Responsibilities
The essential duties and responsibilities:
- Lead the development of a comprehensive and cross-functional Project Delivery strategy for Texas Oncology program of projects aligned with business objectives.
- Develop clear objectives, deliverables, and timelines as required in support of the project charter. Help the team understand their accountability and escalate out-of-tolerance conditions in a timely manner.
- Interact regularly with all service lines and internal and external partners to ensure the success of the project and the team.
- Recognize that both the team and the project must succeed in accomplishing your goal.
- Develop and implement action plans to correct variances. Anticipates and responds to the capital project and team's needs and concerns.
- Manages and leads dedicated and/or variable project management staff and ensures staff understanding and implementing expectations, operations, policies, and procedures. Formally supervises individual employees and/or subordinate supervisors. Responsible for identifying training needs and motivating work groups.
- Onboard variable resources as required so that they understand our expectations, processes, and team structure. Interact regularly with the team to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Improve and Leverage McKesson Real Estate's processes, technology, and platforms to secure and enhance our value proposition. Innovation is critical to success.
- Directs all phases of project management, including procurement/contracting, initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closeout. Key focus areas include scope, budget, schedule, quality, and risk management.
- Continuously seek an understanding of Texas Oncology's internal departments, organizational goals, and strategic priorities and appropriately align the project delivery strategy.
- Exhibits a complete understanding of the company's corporate governance policies and procedures.
- Responsible for ensuring corporate governance policies and procedures are adhered to within the workgroup.
- Responsible for accurate, timely, and compliant contract procurement, contract negotiation, contract execution, contract administration, and closeout. Contracts included company agreements, client/vendor agreements, and company/vendor and supplier agreements. Monitors adherence to policies and procedures regarding internal governance and controls.
- Demonstrates ability to identify complex project risks, lead constructability and peer reviews, develop risk mitigation and contingency plans, and implement action plans to reduce or eliminate project risks.
- Oversees the preparation of accurate, timely, and complete reports.
- Participates in civic and business organizations. Conducts and maintains relationships with industry and trade associates, vendors, and professional organizations.
- Manage project management resource assignments and workloads for your dedicated and variable team.
- Seek training and industry associations as required to maintain a state-of-the-art understanding.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Manages the planning, organization, and controls for a major functional area or department.
- Required experience directly managing work groups or leading 3rd party project delivery resources/teams (typically larger, more experienced teams).
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have the following background and experience:
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS/Bang/BArch) required from a College or University.
- Minimum of eight (8) years of related progressive experience and/or training.
- Experience with Healthcare projects or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Prior experience in a supervisory position (direct report responsibilities) is preferred
Critical Skills
- Strong project management experience in developing project plans and proven track record of project management success with construction (ground up, build-out, renovation, tenant improvement) projects.
- Strong executive presence with experience developing and delivering executive level presentations.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate, influence, and gain commitment at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to understand complex business problems and create a program to support solutions and compliance.
- PC Skills: Expertise in Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint, Visio)
CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES
- LEED AP preferred
- PMP preferred (US and/or Canada)

- Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues. Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches and articles using distinctive style.
