Job Description |
Laborers are responsible for a variety of tasks to include moving of offices, equipment, and furniture. The Laborer may also be responsible for assisting with special Center events and associated tasks.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Shall be responsible for conducting various tasks to include manually moving stock, materials, loading and unloading equipment/furnishings, the set up/break down of tables/chairs and ancillary related items. * Shall follow directions from Supervisor and Government Leadership while also able to work independently and as part of a team and communicate well. * Shall operate a variety of trucks, forklifts, and tools to perform assigned logistics daily tasks while delivering materials or equipment. This could include (Maryland) Class A Trucks and/or Buses. * Shall pick-up and deliver (within a 30-mile radius) off-post materials and equipment as directed. * Shall perform Tool Crib & Supply Room Duties, tracking tools and supplies by Army Regulation (sign- out & sign-in). * Shall support excellence in customer service and deliver excellent customer service both to internal and external customer while having the ability to work collaboratively to build professional working relationships with colleagues, coworkers, and customers. * Shall identify safety concerns to Supervisor and other required stakeholders and maintain all safety standards. (DOD, ARMY, OSHA, ANSI, other industry identified) * Shall handle and transport materials, equipment, and related items for offices, warehouses, and related special events. * Shall provide and assist with required monthly data to Supervisor for a monthly report/tracking matrix of Facilities, Warehouses and Equipment Management as applicable. * Shall make sure that all administrative functions/paperwork is in order relative to receipt documentation, work orders, or internal paperwork are accomplished on time and in the required format. * Shall be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe worksite while performing or conducting job duties and be attentive to detail. * Shall support the mission, vision, values, and goals of the US ARMY. * Other duties as assigned. |
Qualifications |
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Minimum of (2) Years of Laborer/Moving Experience. * High School Diploma/GED. * Active CLASS C Driver's License.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
* Primarily Mobile; work environment occurs in and out of a truck, numerous buildings throughout the day. * Manually move freight, stock, or other related materials. * Must be able to lift/carry a minimum of 75 lbs. * Works in both bending and standing positions for extended periods of time and all types of weather. * Reasonable accommodation can be made to enable people with disabilities to perform the duties and responsibilities.
Terms of Employment and Eligibility Requirements
* Must be a U.S. Citizen. * Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. * Must possess a valid driver's license, without special restrictions. * Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical and periodic retests. * Must be able to successfully complete a background check. * Must possess or be able to obtain a security clearance prior to employment and maintain security clearance for the duration of employment.

Rate of Pay/Benefits
Hourly Rate: $17.49
