Branch/Data Analyst

Summary:

The Branch/Data Analyst is responsible for providing professional expertise in support of the program statistics resilience branch for the NGB Substance Abuse and Suicide Prevention.

Essential Job Functions:

• Analyze and interpret complex data sets related to substance abuse and suicide prevention.
• Develop statistical models to identify trends and patterns within program data.
• Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to support program decision-making.
• Collaborate with program staff to ensure accurate data collection and reporting.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations on program statistics and outcomes.
• Maintain and update databases to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
• Support the resilience branch with statistical expertise and analysis.
• Assist in the development and implementation of data-driven strategies for program improvement.

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

• Proficiency in statistical software and tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics or Statistics.
• Minimum 5 years of national level practical experience in data analysis.
• Experience in data visualization and presentation.
• Ability to pass a background check and eligible to obtain a Contractor Common Access Card (CAC).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in substance abuse and suicide prevention programs.
• Familiarity with resilience training and related statistical analysis.
• Advanced certifications or training in data analysis or related fields.
