Overview

The Housekeeping Coordinator manages calls into the housekeeping department and ensures all guest requests are forwarded to the appropriate individual to follow through on request, facilitating the operational efficiency of the department.



Responsibilities

    Answering incoming phone calls - high volume, answered within three rings and with a smile.
  • Assign and distribute daily housekeeping tasks to room attendants, house attendants, and other housekeeping staff.
  • Maintain and update housekeeping records, including room status report, organize daily paperwork in the folders.
  • Handle guest requests related to housekeeping services, such as extra amenities, and special cleaning needs.
  • Act as a liaison between housekeeping, front desk, maintenance, and other hotel departments to facilitate efficient operations.
  • Respond promptly to guest complaints or issues related to cleanliness and housekeeping services.
  • Ensure all housekeeping staff adhere to hotel cleanliness standards, policies, and safety protocols.
  • Monitor the Synergy for Housekeeping/Engineering tickets are getting dispatched through the system and at the end of the day all the Housekeeping tickets are closed.
  • Key control
  • Guest Research - Synergy (Perfect Rooms) to research who the GRA/Supervisor who cleaned a room
  • Inventory for chemical/amenity room - weekly counts of what products we have on hand
  • Maintain cleanliness in the Housekeeping Office and storage rooms.
  • Daily walk through of public area spaces, Magnolia/5600 offices inside/outside and GPC Lobby restrooms.
  • Create data spreadsheets/input date for Housekeeping Managers


Qualifications

  • Experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Computer experience required.
  • Word/Excel experience.
  • Customer Services experience preferred.
  • Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills, be able to work well under pressure with a variety of people, handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to resolve issues with minimal consultation and naturally positive.
  • Ability to deal with a high level of work demand and pressure and show flexibility as well as understanding of the expectations.
