Could you be the full-time hybrid Senior Civil/Structural Engineer in Pittsburgh, PA, US we're looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your extensive civil/structural engineering expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You'll work alongside innovative, dedicated, and collaborative teammates. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping the infrastructure of world-class Transit Systems in Proposals, Projects, and Operations and Maintenance (O&M) applications. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (multi-disciplinary engineers, project teams, suppliers, consultants, contractors), participate in system level and detailed design reviews, and much more.

We'll look to you for:




  • Participating and assisting with system level and detailed design reviews,



  • Working within the Civil/Wayside engineering team to prepare bids and proposals,



  • Preparing design drawings, specifications, and criteria for wayside systems and sub-systems,



  • Preparing scope documents, drawings, and details, as well as design calculations,



  • Working effectively within a fast-paced, aggressive environment,



  • Prioritizing tasks on multiple projects and proposals concurrently,



  • Establishing working relationships and interfacing with clients and technical representatives,



  • Assisting with installation and testing activities at project sites

  • Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or related field,



  • Experience or understanding of transit industry engineering practices,



  • Knowledge of AutoCAD or Microstation and 3D modelling tools,



  • Familiarity with design and analysis of civil/structural engineering projects,



  • PE certification or ability to obtain it,



  • Experience with FEA design and analysis or willingness to train,



  • Proven ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, aggressive environment,



  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and proposals concurrently,



  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish effective working relationships,



  • Willingness to travel up to 10% domestically and/or internationally
