Associate Director of Accounting, Corporate Accounting - Eden Prairie, MN - Hybrid

If you are located in Eden Prairie, MN, you will have the flexibility to work from home and the office in this hybrid role* as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Lead execution of accounting on common control transactions including being the primary liaison for execution with tax, treasury, and legal leadership
  • Drive communication as the primary international accounting liaison with tax, treasury and legal leadership as well as external international service providers
  • Manage International Financial Statement Preparations - audited and non audited - in International GAAPs (Ireland, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Chile)
  • Provide operational and technical accounting expertise to ensure compliance with the applicable GAAP for the report (U.S., Irish, etc.), Company policies, rules, regulation and laws
  • Develop, implement and maintain processes and procedures for accurate and timely analysis of financial data, ensuring best practices
  • Oversee the preparation and analysis of internal and external reporting ensuring the quality, reliability and timeliness of the reports
  • Resolve high level financial reporting issues
  • Coordinates and supports the Company's strategic and operational planning
  • Support various special projects as required

Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA/CMA or other equivalent licensure or certification is required; Active status preferred
  • 5+ years of demonstrated progression in financial reporting and analysis
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience
  • Solid working knowledge of GAAP; ability to effectively use accounting knowledge to collaborate with varying levels of employees and senior management to drive sound business decisions
  • Excellent PC skills: Excel, Word, and other financial reporting tool
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced analytical and information gathering skills; ability to evaluate and prioritize extensive detailed data



Preferred Qualifications:



  • International accounting or audit experience
  • Big 4 experience
  • Experience with Hyperion Essbase and PeopleSoft Financials



The salary range for this role is $106,800 to $194,200 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with al minimum wage laws as applicable.
