The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Global Accounting and Reporting organization as we continue to automate accounting processes and scale the business. This role requires independent execution, strategic thinking, and the ability to influence stakeholders to implement meaningful change. You will own complex accounting areas, lead projects that enhance scalability, and proactively identify improvements that align with business objectives.

What you'll do

  • Lead complex accounting areas within month-end close, ensuring transactions are recorded timely and accurately while proactively identifying areas for automation and efficiency.

  • Own and drive forecasting and financial analysis of fringe benefit expenses, including employer payroll taxes, health insurance, and retirement plan costs, providing strategic insights to Finance and Leadership.

  • Oversee and optimize cloud services expenditure accounting, synthesizing data from multiple sources, identifying trends, and delivering meaningful recommendations to senior stakeholders.

  • Manage the lease accounting process, including contract reviews, abstraction into leasing software, preparation of journal entries, and compliance with ASC 842, while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency.

  • Drive process improvements and lead exciting accounting transformation projects to achieve scalability, efficiency, and productivity

  • Serve as a key liaison between Accounting, Finance, Tax, and External Reporting, ensuring alignment in accounting treatments, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiencies.

  • Manage year-end audit and schedule requests of external auditors

  • Manage SOX compliance for responsible areas, overseeing documentation while strengthening internal controls.

  • Synthesize complex data into presentation-ready executive summaries

  • Ad Hoc projects and analyses

What you need to succeed

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting

  • CPA license required

  • 7+ years of accounting experience required

  • Positive demeanor, collaborative, and multifaceted in your approach to solving issues

  • Agile and comfortable in a fluid environment that changes as the business evolves

  • Highly motivated self-starter who is passionate about process improvements

  • Critical thinker with high attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Advanced Excel skills are essential. Preferred skills: Powerpoint, SAP, Blackline, Tableau, Power BI

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
