Job Description

About the position

Visa Direct is a payment service that Visa provides to clients (sending and receiving financial institutions, processors, merchants, and service providers) to facilitate fund transfers/disbursements to accounts around the world using push payment technology. Visa Direct consumer and business applications include person-to-person (P2P) transfer, person to micro-business transfer (e.g., payouts to shared economy providers), funds disbursement (e.g. insurance claim disbursements), and more. The push payments market is estimated to be more than 80 trillion USD of payment volume globally. As a key member of the North America Visa Direct Client & Product Solutions team, the Solutions Manager (Architect) will play a crucial role in designing and building the infrastructure and ecosystem necessary to drive Visa Direct's exponential growth. This role involves discovering and implementing complex solutions, while supporting customers with technical and product requirements to effectively implement the Visa Direct product suite, including Card, Account, Wallet, Currencycloud, and B2B Connect. The Solutions Manager will collaborate closely with Sales, Product, Business Development, Technical, and Support teams to understand, define, and architect tailored solutions. Acting as a subject matter expert, the Solutions Manager helps customers realize the full value of our platform and contributes to ongoing product improvements and team training. Additionally, the role participates in the Integrated Money Movement Solutioning strategy, planning, and coordinating the delivery, launch, and adoption of new features in North America. The Solutions Manager will lead complex strategic solutioning with clients to facilitate large-scale adoption of Visa Direct products and services, developing bespoke ecosystem and product solutions for strategic clients such as acquiring bank sponsors, acquirer processors, corporate treasury management banks, merchants, remitters, and strategic fintech partners. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the payments landscape and technologies, expertise in market research and analysis, exceptional communication skills, and a laser focus on quality, working across a matrix organizational structure and liaising with various teams to influence and collaborate effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Discovering and implementing complex solutions tailored for customers.

  • Addressing technical and product requirements for the Visa Direct product suite.

  • Collaborating closely with Sales, Product, Business Development, Technical, and Support teams.

  • Defining and architecting bespoke solutions for clients.

  • Executing and managing changes to the mapped-out solutions.

  • Contributing to ongoing product improvements and training the Solutions Team.

  • Planning, coordinating, and driving the requirements for Visa Direct product features.

  • Leading strategic solutioning initiatives with clients.

  • Developing and delivering customized ecosystem and product solutions for strategic clients.

  • Interacting with and influencing stakeholders across multiple organizations.

  • Be a customer champion, ensuring their views are represented in the company and driving continual improvement in user satisfaction

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

*5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least

2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD,

MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD

*3+ years of industry experience in product management, product development,

and payments processing.

*Hands-on Software development/Software architecture experience.

*Strong technical knowledge of Restful APIs and/or ISO 8583, ISO 20022.

*Demonstrated ability to understand and deep dive into technical details.

Preferred Qualifications

*6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years

of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)

or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD

*6 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 4 or

more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree.

*Knowledge of Domestic and Cross-border payments.

*Experience with/Knowledge of CurrencyCloud.

*Knowledge of Foreign Exchange, SWIFT Payments and formats (MT and ISO).

*Knowledge/experience of SWIFT products: SAA, IPLA, SWIFT Web Platform

(SWP).

*Experience integrating with global clearing systems for real time and cross

border payment systems.

*Deep expertise in E2E payment flow in banks.

*Deep expertise in the design and implementation of payments products and

services for Banks, Fintechs, Remitters, P2P Players.

*Experience with the SDLC and leading Initiatives.

*Well versed with money-movement with a special emphasis on debit, credit,

cross-border money movement, open banking and digital products.

*Proficiency in cross border payment regulations

*Possess good knowledge of RTP, ACH processing, bulk payments, and card

schemes.

*Experience with direct interaction with clients in terms of product and/or

technical solution engagements.

*Ability to structure, manage, and coordinate complex cross-enterprise projects

and processes.

*Demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence successfully within a highly

matrixed organization.

*Fluency in PowerPoint, Excel and JIRA.

*Team oriented, collaborative, and flexible, with excellent presentation skills.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 99,700 to 180,650 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
