Responsibilities

The Orr Fellowship External Communications Specialist reports directly to the External Communications Manager and focuses on multiple aspects of external communications, including, but not limited to, social media, social selling, and public relations.

Responsible for Old National's social selling program, which debuts in January 2025 with a Commercial pilot.

Duties include:

    Collaborates with members of Marketing, Communications and Culture, the Community Marketing Managers, and LOB leaders to identify and gather content for the social selling content pool.
  • Maintains an ongoing content calendar.
  • Works to ensure that ONB has a well-planned, holistic approach to social selling that is understood by all involved parties and can be effectively supplemented and complemented by other marketing and social media efforts.
  • In collaboration with the External Communications Manager, is responsible for ensuring that all content within the social selling pool is on-brand and compliance-approved.
  • Serves as the principal point of contact for questions about the Social Selling tool and all content.
  • Occasionally authors content for the Social Selling content pool.

Responsible for making quarterly content updates to the About section of oldnational.com

Duties include:

  • Proactively meets with content owners of the About section at oldnational.com to identify opportunities to refresh content and, at times, edits and/or crafts new content.

In partnership with the Social Media Manager, is responsible for identifying and creating content for Old National's social media channels, particularly Instagram and TikTok.

Duties include:

  • Creates and maintains a company-wide strategy for utilizing TikTok and Instagram effectively and growing the reach/audience for both.
  • Establishes org-wide guidelines and an accompanying process for approved team members to film cell-phone video for use on ONB's social media channels and social selling content pool.
  • Works with internal content creators, Marketing, and Compliance to produce finalized videos for social media/social selling, including editing the video in Adobe Premiere Pro.

Responsible for ensuring that ONB podcast content is properly edited and approved by Compliance and other involved parties, and added to oldnational.com.

Duties include:

  • Works with ONB's external video partner and the Financial Education Director to edit each podcast.
  • Submits the edited version to Compliance for approval.
  • Once each episode is approved, responsible for posting the content to all major content sites and working with Marketing to post
  • Coordinates with the Social Media Manager to ensure each episode is promoted effectively on ONB channels.
  • Works with the Financial Education Director to establish a quarterly podcast schedule, allowing ONB to effectively complement and supplement episodes with other Marketing and social media efforts.

Responsible for backing up the Social Media Manager position, which includes monitoring and managing all ONB social media accounts using the Sprout Social platform.

Responsible for assisting the External Communications Manager with news release and other miscellaneous communications.
