Apply technical experience in field of specialization or broad-based experience in multiple technical fields, and use other technical resources within the company, to resolve complex problems.
DUTIES (SPECIFIC FOR THE POSTING)
Work Hours: Up to a 40-hour work week is scheduled. SRNS utilizes various work schedules including 5/8s (8 hour/day; five days per week), 4/10's (10 hours/day; four days per week), and 9/80's (9 hours/day, five days on week AA and four days on week BB. Work week excludes SRNS holidays. Each workday has 30-minute lunch. Overtime will be expected at times to meet deliverables and will be utilized at the discretion of the Manager. Qualifications Education: Typically, an advance degree and experience -A Ph.D. degree and about 12+ years' experience, OR a MS degree and 15+ years' experience, OR a BS degree and about 18+ years' experience. Education (Specific to the Posting): MS Degree in Structural Engineering, or current registration as a Professional Engineer in structural engineering. Experience/Skills: Has mastered technical field, is recognized as internal expert, has depth of knowledge to tackle any problem in field. Contributes to advancing knowledge. Experience/Skills (Specific to the Posting): Significant experience in reinforced concrete structural analysis using ANSYS software, design, analysis, qualification, inspection, fitness-for-service and integrity management, failure analysis and repairs of systems and components in the nuclear power and the process industries, and in the DOE complex. OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSArea Security Access: Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE "Q" security clearance. An active DOE clearance is not initially required to perform assigned duties. After award, the selected candidate will be notified when to apply for a clearance based on specific work assignments. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSCandidates who have possessed an active DOE clearance (L or Q) within the past two (2) years are preferred. Position specific: Previous SRS Design Engineering or DOE facility experience is preferred.
