ETAS was formed and dedicated to support the Department of Energy (DOE) Portsmouth/Paducah Project Office (PPPO) with technical and management services contributing to the safe and cost-effective implementation of the "One PPPO" mission. We support the energy, defense, and science markets through responsive, cost-effective execution of critical environmental, facilities and infrastructure, and nuclear defense and nonproliferation projects. Job Description The qualified candidate will work with a team of support staff to resolve end-user phone, chat, and email requests for computer-related issues including operating system, application, system, device configuration, and performance issues. The service desk administration team also advises users on techniques and actions to avoid common issues in the future, where applicable, and provides documentation in the form of internal ticket-system documentation and Knowledge Base articles to assist with troubleshooting efforts in the future on similar trouble calls. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in computer science or IT from an accredited university and five years' experience or ten years' experience with network and server administration Experience providing maintenance and operation of the computer system and network through installation of new hardware and software on servers and network wide Knowledge of troubleshooting of systems Experience in administration of shared resources Experience supporting MDM device management systems Experience providing Horizon view support Experience in Exchange management and Backup management Experience software compatibility testing Knowledge of networking, Microsoft platforms, Linux and Cisco equipment Preferred Qualifications: VMware Certifications Microsoft Certifications Cisco Certifications Experience in IT inventory management / inventory tracking Experience imaging new computers and managing PC images via SCCM or equivalent tool. Duration: Federal Government Clearance: This position may require the ability to obtain a government clearance. This position may require reviews and test for absence of any illegal drugs along with a background investigation by the Federal government in order to obtain an access authorization prior to employment, and may require subsequent reinvestigations may be required.
