ABOUT THE JOB:

The Senior Accountant is primarily responsible for decentralized accounting functions which includes recording daily operational activities, properly recognizing revenue, and closing the period monthly in a decentralized accounting system. This role plays a key part in consolidating company-wide accounting results in collaboration with the Senior Manager and Manager.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

Key Responsibilities:



  • Assist in the development and implementation of decentralized accounting processes, including adjacency accounting acquisitions.
  • Creating revenue schedules in order to properly recognize revenue at each month end


  • Participation in the monthly close process, including preparing and booking assigned journal entries timely and in accordance with internal and external reporting


  • Work closely with the Senior Manager and Manager to consolidate accounting across the organization, ensuring consistency and compliance with accounting standards.


  • Participate in the monthly reconciliations and roll forwards of balance sheet accounts in ARCS,ensuring accounts are reconciled timely,reconciling items are addressed,and reconciliations are updated as efficiencies and improvements are identified


  • Maintain and enhance internal controls to ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate accounting policies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including finance, operations, and compliance, to support seamless financial reporting and integration efforts.


  • Contribute to additional projects and assignments as needed


  • Ensure adherence to GAAP and company policies in all financial activities.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and addressing any inquiries.
  • Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and industry best practices to ensure compliance and process improvements.

  • MS Office Suite, including strong excel skills
  • SAP
  • Oracle FCCS, EPM, ARCS
  • Quickbooks
  • Zoho
  • Snowflake data warehouse
  • Sigma, Tableau Reporting/Analysis tools

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • 3+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or audit environment.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal control frameworks.
  • Experience in acquisition accounting, financial consolidations, internal reporting.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and make informed decisions.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills, with experience in cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.



Work Environment:



  • This position operates in a professional office setting and may require occasional extended hours during peak reporting periods or audits.
  • Some travel may be required, up to 10%.
  • Consistent in-office requirement of 3 days in office, required. In office requirements are subject to change.
