Top Skills: * Experience pulling fiber preferably in a data center environment * Most Fiber Trunks are 96f direct trunks, there are other types of cables like MPO8>4LC breakouts, CAT6 (28 AWG Thin Profile), etc. * Must work well in large teams Must live in one of the seven NY counties and have ID to match, there will be audits. * ROCKLAND, ULSTER, SULLIVAN, DUTCHESS, PUTNAM, ORANGE, WESTCHESTER. * Work Plan: 6 days a week, 12 hours a day = 72 hour work weeks * 6 week long project Description High-Level Scope: Accept, Inventory, Discard Trash, Label (printing & labels will be provided), Bundle (any cables of the same type that have identical end point locations, schedule will be provided), Rough-In (pull schedules provided), Plug-in/Patch (we provide port maps and schedules, Dress (client is extremely particular-pin straight, proper layering, very neat in-rack as well). * Provide timely support for any request requiring action within the data center space to include but not limited to, servers / Network equipment, racking, provisioning power to new rack installations, all data cabling and provide hands on support for problem resolution * Monitor, resolve and update all Operations-assigned service tickets throughout your daily shift. This will include, but is not limited to, trouble tickets and customer installations of electrical and physical equipment * Operate, monitor, maintain, and respond to abnormal conditions in facilities systems * Install network structured cabling and other infrastructure components * Monitor and react to alert / alarm conditions generated from building management system * Troubleshoot problems with IT hardware Servers and switches * Run patch cables between IT equipment * Install new or Deinstall IT hardware in racks * Communicate and collaborate with network and systems teams * Set ups the infrastructure needed to connect servers and hard drives Experience Level * Entry to Mid Level Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
