We're actively seeking a talented Senior Real Estate Portfolio Manager to join our Debt Asset Management in Newport Beach, CA. This role is hybrid. We believe in empowering our employees to get work done both in and out of the office.

As a Senior Real Estate Portfolio Manager you'll play a key role in Pacific Life's growth and long-term success by monitoring the credit quality and performance of commercial real estate loan assets to provide superior service to borrowers. You will work with a team to review property financial statements, financial covenants, and various other reports to determine loan performance and identify broader portfolio trends. You will actively manage all loan servicing transactions for assigned loan portfolio, and assist team with more complex transactions. Frequent communication with borrowers associated with assigned loan portfolio is expected to maintain investor relationship.

How you'll help us move forward:

  • Collect and analyze financial statements for a portfolio of Pacific Life loans.

  • Guide team members in monitoring their Pacific Life loan portfolio.

  • Determine and document causes for variances in property performance via discussions with borrowers and co-lenders (for participated loans).

  • Read loan documents and mortgage loan investment summaries to understand nature of complex loans to properly analyze and monitor the loan, as well as detect key requirements of the loan.

  • Provide team members guidance in understanding documents and mortgage loan investment summaries to determine key requirements of the loan.

  • Manage and lead the analysis, recommendation, and management of highly complex commercial real estate transactions.

The experience you bring:

  • 4-year college degree

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial real estate or commercial loan servicing.

  • Strong experience and aptitude for reviewing and interpreting property, borrower, and guarantor financial statements, and highly complex commercial mortgage loan documents.

  • Strong knowledge of Excel and Word, and the ability to quickly learn new program applications.

  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects at once and to meet deadlines under pressure

  • Strong customer service, verbal, and written communication skills.

  • Strong logical and analytical skills (ability to research, identify issues, and problem solve).

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Accounting experience preferred.

Base Pay Range:

The base pay range noted represents the company's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.

$121,770.00 - $148,830.00
