Business Development Executive

About the Role:

Do you love the thrill of the chase? If you are a serious hunter, we're looking for you! TD SYNNEX company, Shyft Global Services, is searching for dynamic Business Development Executives to our team in some niche areas. The BDE will support OEM partners in nationwide and global efforts through identifying, developing, and managing multiple brand customer relationships at a corporate management level, positioning the overall value to the organization with a focus on services through Shyft. Specifically, we are looking for tenacious solutions finders in the following areas:

  • Data Center / Cloud OEM: Experience selling into the data center infrastructure ecosystem, including server, storage, networking, and hybrid cloud technologies.
  • Retail OEM: Knowledge of in-store technologies, such as point-of-sale systems and IoT-enabled customer experiences.
  • Medical OEM: Background in selling services to medical device manufacturers, particularly in imaging and diagnostics.
  • Broadband & Telecommunications OEM: Familiarity with network infrastructure technologies and telecommunications sectors.
  • Semiconductor Equipment OEM: Experience in selling to capital equipment manufacturers supporting semiconductor fabrication.
  • AI Infrastructure & OEM: Background in selling AI-optimized hardware and infrastructure.
  • Cybersecurity OEM: Experience in business development targeting cybersecurity technology providers.
What You'll Do:
  • Customer Business Planning: Create and own customer business plans and pricing models that include:

    • OEM Partner Value proposition and offerings

    • Geographic coverage mapping

    • Comprehensive marketing plans for new business, installed base, and renewal/annuities business

  • Sales Goals Management: Establish quarterly and annual sales goals, reporting, and reviewing actual vs. goals, including Solutions Path engagement, training, and certification schedules.

  • Sales Reviews: Conduct monthly sales reviews and maintain an action item list.

  • Quarterly Business Reviews: Collaborate with BU management and related Supplier teams to provide increased account coverage.

  • Relationship Development: Enhance executive-level customer relationships with strategic and ISV partners, growing share of wallet by improving customer experience with TD SYNNEX.

  • Lead Identification: Identify sales leads for the field organization through corporate management, developing operational plans, and advocating TD SYNNEX capabilities.

  • Customer Communication: Proactively communicate with customers to identify satisfaction issues and isolate root causes of any perceived problems.

  • Corrective Action Plans: Work with Business Unit owners to design corrective action plans to improve customer relations.

  • Cross-Divisional Teamwork: Ensure teamwork across divisions to leverage value in achieving customer business visions.

  • Travel Requirement: Must be able to travel up to 75% of the time.

What We're Looking For:
  • Expert Knowledge: Deep understanding of assigned product/service lines and how they integrate with the organization's entire offerings.

  • Independent Work: Ability to work under very limited direction with considerable latitude in determining the best approach to sales and service tasks.

  • Client Relations: Maintain excellent rapport with existing clients while frequently interacting with new prospects to build the customer base and increase sales.

  • Impactful Actions: Understand that actions impact the organization, with failure to meet customer expectations potentially causing long-term damage to client relationships.

Work Experience:

  • Sales Experience: 6+ years in sales; technology or solution-based selling experience is encouraged but not required.

  • OEM Experience: Experience working with Technology OEMs.

Education and Certification(s):

  • Degree: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.

Distinguishing Characteristics:
  • Expert Knowledge: Possess expert knowledge of services programs and processes for multiple brands.

  • Complex Engagements: Ability to interface with customers in increasingly complex engagements, typically involving a diverse customer base of strategic national accounts.

  • Account Management: Responsible for selling company products and services, developing new accounts, and expanding existing accounts, typically assigned to large and more complex accounts.
