SUMMARY

Mortenson is currently seeking an experienced Technical Training Manager to join a dynamic team impacting the entire organization! In this pivotal role, you will be repoinsible for implementation, development, and evaluation of craft apprenticeship programs to develop talent across the company, in conjunction with craft talent strategy and applicable federal/DOL approved program guidelines. This role serves as a subject matter expert of curriculum design, execution, and coordination of the Apprenticeship Program with lead trainers.

RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Support the delivery of NCCER modules, assessments, and performance profiles
  • Collaborate to manage Federal/DOL approved apprenticeship program
  • Test and deploy programs to various audiences of learners
  • Design, develop, and deploy field classroom training
  • Identify, train, and certify companywide trainers for the apprenticeship program
  • Provide guidance to all internal non-union apprenticeship programs
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with any applicable regulatory requirements
  • Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
  • Partner with project leadership and lead instructors to ensure instruction, assessments, and field evaluations to meet apprenticeship program standards
  • Manage and mentor lead instructors to audit projects, performance evaluators and proctors
  • Manage master training calendar for the Apprenticeship Program
  • Collaborate with lead instructors to create project training plans, schedules, and selection of apprentices
  • Partner with Apprenticeship Program Manager and Apprenticeship Coordinator on completion, tracking and storage of required program documentation
  • Assist with the administration of new apprentice registration documents as needed
  • Utilize effective presentation skills including creative training techniques and adult learning techniques
  • Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels



QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's degree in construction, safety, training, or related field experience
  • Minimum of 6 years of previous related experience teaching in the field, managing apprenticeship programs, or classroom technical training
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
  • Successful completion of NCCER ICTP
  • Exposure to OSHA training requirements
  • Exposure to NCCER curriculum preferred
  • Classroom training facilitation experience preferred
  • Active listening skills and effective communication including openness to diverse input and feedback
  • Acute attention to detail/accuracy and written communication skills
  • Strong Understanding of adult learning theory and instructional methodology
  • Positive and professional attitude and sound customer service skills
  • Ability to manage a variety of projects at a time in a dynamic environment, while remaining flexible and adapting to shifting business needs
  • Possess the right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer

The base pay range for this role is $99,500 - $134,300. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL - 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR - 10%, Washington, D.C. - 12.5%).

Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
