The Opportunity

As one of the most strategic roles within our Finance organization, JLL seeks an exceptional Head of Corporate Functions Finance to oversee the financial performance and strategy of all corporate functions including technology, occupancy, marketing, research, finance, HR, legal among others. This pivotal position will be responsible for supporting senior functional leaders on $2B of corporate spend, where proactive management will have a meaningful impact on our P&L. The role drives efficiency, revenue growth, and transparency across the organization, partnering with corporate function leaders and finance teams globally. The position is critical in aligning financial strategies with JLL's overall corporate objectives.

The person in this role will report directly to the Head of FP&A and Segment CFO of JLL Technologies. The current global FP&A team for corporate functions consists of ~35 team members based in Chicago, London and Singapore. This leadership position is based at the JLL Enterprise HQ in Chicago, IL.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement financial strategies for corporate functions.
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Drive transparency, alignment, and governance of spend between corporate and business segments.
  • Collaborate with finance and business leaders to prioritize investments.
  • Improve allocation methodologies and investment decision-making.
  • Oversee planning, performance benchmarking, and strategic analytics.
  • Monitor and analyze performance, identifying improvement areas.
  • Partner with corporate function leaders to drive efficiency and revenue growth.
  • Deliver data-driven insights to enhance return on investment.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to stakeholders including business and finance leaders across corporate function and business segment.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
  • Oversee the production and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and year-end consolidated reporting packages and supporting schedules for senior leadership.
  • Review and consolidate monthly P&L variance commentary to provide enhanced management reporting that includes meaningful and actionable insights.
  • Report on Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) to measure progress of Company against stated short-term and long-term goals.
  • Partner with Global Controllership and FinOps teams on deliverables and projects related to financial systems and reporting platforms.
  • Build and maintain a strong team of financial professionals with needed capabilities to create value for the business and meet the business needs.
  • Act as the "face" of finance to the leadership team.
  • Establish a high performing culture within Finance.
  • Identify, simplify and implement process re-engineering opportunities through automation, standardization, and innovation.

Requirements

The successful candidate in this role will have both extensive finance and business experience, a demonstrated track record of leading teams of both directly and indirectly managed individuals and driving change.

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years of progressive accounting, analysis, and operating experience.
  • Proven experience in strategic financial management within a large firm.
  • Expertise in financial modeling and process development.
  • Commercially oriented or client facing experience a plus given evolving OneJLL component of the position.
  • Global real estate experience and MBA a plus.
  • Strategic decision-making ability in business operations, pricing, and planning.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Action-oriented approach to driving operating plans.

The role is based in Chicago and requires minimum 3 days per week in office.

Estimated total compensation for this position:

348,000.00 - 420,000.00 USD per year

The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
