Summary:

The Sleep Center Supervisor is responsible for the operational oversight of the Mid Coast Hospital Center for Sleep Medicine, ensuring adequate staff and supplies, timely scoring of studies, coordination of care with durable medical equipment (DME) suppliers, sleep patient management, and performing complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as required by Mid Coast Medical Group Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine. The Sleep Center technicians report directly to this position and then to the manager/director of the Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine department.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: N/A.
  2. License/Certifications: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RT) with appropriate Maine state license. Registered Polysomnographer (RPSGT).
  3. Experience: Two to five (2-5) years' experience in an accredited center as RT or RPSGT.
  4. Working knowledge of Sleep Lab Systems, Compumedics preferred.
  5. Excellent interpersonal skills.
  6. Excellent verbal and written skills.
  7. Able to handle confidential patient and organizational information.
  8. Strong technology and computer literacy skills.
  9. Experience working with electronic medical records and other systems.
  10. Ability to assist clinicians with technology issues related to the sleep systems.
