Position Summary Geost seeks an enthusiastic and highly capable Senior Manager, Programs with recent experience in successfully delivering systems to customers. The ideal candidate will possess experience in leading programs including EO sensors or payloads, electronics, and/or software for space or ground systems. This role is fully responsible for delivery on all assigned program commitments. Responsible for leading efforts in EO space missions, ground-based sensor networks, or internal research and development. Duties and Responsibilities
- Program Execution: Monitor and drive the progress of assigned programs, ensuring they remain on schedule and within budget, and address any issues or risks that arise.
- Resource Management: Identify, and coordinate assignment of all resources for assigned programs.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks to assigned programs, develop contingency plans, and ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with assigned program stakeholders internal and customer. Lead program and customer meetings and reviews.
- Performance Reporting: Track program progress, prepare reports, analyze data for corrective action.
- Budget Management: Develop, manage, and stay on assigned program budgets.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure assigned projects meet the required quality standards.
- Business Acumen: Understanding and attention to assigned program financial commitments and their connection with the company's larger business plans.
- New Business: Identify and pursue expanded program opportunities. As part of a Capture Team, lead the development of program plans and pricing in support of new pursuits and proposals.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders.
- Continuous improvement mindset and high attention to detail and accuracy.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's or master's degree in business, technology, or a related field.
- A bachelor's degree and 12+ years, or graduate degree and 10+ years, of applicable experience leading programs in the Aerospace & Defense industry.
- An active US Government Security Clearance. Current SSBI is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with space EO and IR payloads, electronics, software, and/or remote sensing.
- Experience performing in a dynamic and high-visibility role.
- Proven financial acumen.
- Strong knowledge of, or experience with, Capture Management
- Willingness to be on-site 3 days per week, or as needed, to meet program commitments.
- Ability to travel and support off-site work as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading space or terrestrial based remote sensing programs.
- Experience with formal program management tools (e.g., Earned Value Management)
- Competency coordinating major suppliers and/or subcontracts
- Knowledge of FAR and/or OTA contracting
- Leading cross-functional teams in a matrix environment
- PMP Certification
