Job Summary

The ServiceNow Platform Owner is a leadership role responsible for the overall management, strategy, and optimization of Darling's ServiceNow platform. This individual is accountable for ensuring that ServiceNow aligns with business goals, technical requirements, and the overall IT strategy. The Platform Owner leads the governance of the platform, oversees the roadmap for enhancements, manages platform resources, and ensures that the platform is fully utilized to deliver value across the enterprise.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Executes and manages projects supporting the company's strategic roadmap for the ServiceNow platform
  • Establishes and enforces governance processes for platform management, including change control, release management, and configuration standards
  • Ensures compliance with internal policies and external regulations for the platform
  • Drives improvement activities and projects to enhance the adoption, scalability, and usability of ServiceNow
  • Responsibility for the assessment of new features and releases in ServiceNow, guiding the organization on how to adopt and leverage them effectively.
  • Collaborates with business and technical teams to ensure the platform supports evolving business needs
  • Manages business relationships with key stakeholders, including IT and Audit, to understand the needs of users and ensure that the platform delivers value in meeting those needs
  • Responsibility to manage the platform's performance, availability, and health, ensuring issues are resolved quickly to minimize business disruption
  • Manages the ServiceNow platform team, which may include administrators, developers, and analysts
  • Coordinates, allocates and prioritizes resources for platform maintenance, enhancements, and incident resolution
  • Manages relationships with ServiceNow and any third-party vendors or consultants involved in platform implementations, integrations, or enhancements
  • Oversees data privacy and security aspects, ensuring sensitive information is protected and access is managed properly
  • Lead efforts to promote ServiceNow adoption across the organization
  • Oversee platform licensing and budgeting for enhancements, upgrades, and maintenance
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field is required
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT ServiceNow Service Delivery
  • Strong understanding of ServiceNow modules, including ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, and others
  • Experience with ITIL framework and other ITSM best practices
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow development best practices, standards, and methodologies
  • Deep understanding of ServiceNow's capabilities, configuration, and customization
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Team building and supervisory experience
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders across technical and business domains
  • Ability to manage complex projects and prioritize initiatives effectively
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle high-pressure situations
  • Self-motivated and works well independently and in a team-setting

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ServiceNow certifications (e.g., ServiceNow Certified System Administrator, ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist)
  • Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies
  • Experience with integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based architecture and security best practices
  • Advanced MS-Excel skills, including statistical analysis
