About the Role The Associate Director of Conformity Assessment Strategy plays a pivotal role in advancing ANAB's strategic initiatives and exploring new opportunities in the accreditation landscape. This position supports the development and execution of strategic goals by identifying market trends, engaging with stakeholders, and fostering cross-functional collaboration. This role is ideal for a mission-driven professional with expertise in accreditation, standards development, or conformity assessment who is ready to help shape the future of quality and compliance. Key Responsibilities
Identify and evaluate new conformity assessment and scheme owner opportunities. Conduct research on standards, regulatory trends, and industry developments. Partner with internal teams, including Business Development and Strategic Business Units (SBUs), to advance new initiatives. Assist with cost/benefit and ROI analyses for accreditation program development. Participate in meetings with external stakeholders (e.g., regulators, scheme owners, standards developers). Contribute to marketing and outreach efforts to promote ANAB's services. Prepare and deliver presentations for stakeholder meetings, conferences, and workshops. Represent the Vice President as needed in meetings and discussions. Support strategic planning documentation and continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications & Skills Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred. Minimum of 8 years' experience in accreditation, conformity assessment, standards development, or related fields. Experience in business development, program management, or strategic roles is a plus. A combination of 15+ years of relevant experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree.
