Job Description Summary:

The Insider Threat Analyst 2 conducts quality investigations while assuring coordination and compliance efforts. The Analyst will be responsible for investigating security incidents, including conducting and documenting employee interviews, compiling evidence/relevant data, and identifying root causes and corrective actions helping to mitigate vulnerabilities. The Analyst will also assist with InT cases, provide briefings, training, and draft official reports for both internal and external consumers.

Job Description:

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Within the OTM construct, assist in the development and implementation of Draper's Security Investigations (SI) program, to include security incidents, violations, reports, policies/processes, education, and compliance.

  • Conduct interviews, collect evidence, and data to discern facts, identify risks, and write reports for internal or external consumption.

  • Serve as the primary Investigator for the SI program while focusing on proactive and positive engagements with employees throughout Draper's workforce to provide awareness and effectively understand and address potential threats, vulnerabilities, and gaps.

  • Assist OTM's InT, CI, and Analytic/Assessment Analyst to evaluate SI data to identify trends, assist with providing accurate assessments and implementing mitigation mechanisms.

  • Collaborate with Security, InfoSec, HR, Legal, Classified IT, and other SI stakeholders, using innovative methods to uncover and manager potential areas of risk, threat, and vulnerability.

  • Develop relevant, external SI-focused partnerships to share information and industry best practices, ultimately helping to protect company personnel, technology, and national security.

  • Ensure Draper's SI programs meet industry regulations, standards, and compliance requirements.

  • Provide training, briefings, and products to workforce, programs, and leadership to improve Draper awareness to SI, InT, Force Protection, and CI to increase reporting.

  • Write, submit, track, and manage investigative reports, attachments, and case files, for internal and external dissemination, and for future review, analysis and/or compliance.

  • Integrate with physical, personnel, industrial, and special security programs to manage potential gaps and collaborate on a variety of issues that could have InT, CI, Force Protection, and overall security significance.

Skills/Abilities

  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communications skills.

  • Keen understanding of current and historic InT and espionage cases, indicators, dynamics.

  • Ability to build positive relationships across functions and organizations to create and maintain positive and collaborative work relationships.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Word, Access, Power Point, and Excel.

Education

  • Requires a minimum of a high school diploma.

  • CI trained and certified to Under Secretary of Defense/Intelligence (USD/I) approved standards pursuant to DoD Directive 5240.02 or similar national-level certification.

Experience

  • Requires a minimum of 5 years of directly relevant corporate or government SI, InT, or CI investigative experience.

  • Experience conducting investigations from initiation to conclusion, including leveraging technical and/or interpersonal skill to conduct interviews, collect evidence, analyze data, and handle sensitive materials.

  • Experience conducting force protection initiatives a plus.

Additional Job Description:

Applicants selected for this position will be required to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.

Current in scope Top Secret security clearance is required.
