X Job Purpose The Business Transformation Office (BTO) is looking for a dynamic, creative, and detail-oriented intern to support internal communication and employee engagement initiatives. This role is a great opportunity to gain real-world experience in change management, culture development, and strategic communications, while helping to shape how employees connect with transformation efforts across the organization. Travel Requirements up to 10% Job Duties and Responsibilities Communications (40%) Assist in drafting internal content including newsletters, announcements, event recaps, and intranet stories Create visuals (infographics, slide decks, banners) to support messaging campaigns Support communication planning and content calendars for transformation initiatives Help maintain and update the internal communications portal or intranet pages Employee Engagement (30%) Support planning and logistics for employee engagement events (e.g., town halls, team-building activities, culture spotlight moments) Track engagement metrics and feedback from events and communications Collaborate with HR, internal communication teams, and transformation leads to promote employee participation Project Support (30%) Join team meetings, take notes, and follow up on action items Help organize documentation and maintain project status trackers Contribute fresh ideas to make communications more accessible, inclusive, and effective Required Skills Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, Organizational Psychology, HR, or a related field Strong writing and editing skills with attention to tone, clarity, and structure Creative mindset with familiarity in design tools (e.g., Canva, PowerPoint, Adobe Spark) Organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple tasks Interest in change management, employee experience, or internal culture initiatives What You'll Gain: Hands-on experience in real-world business transformation projects Exposure to internal communication strategies at an enterprise level Opportunity to contribute meaningfully to culture-building efforts Networking with professionals across HR, Operations, and Leadership Komatsu is an Equal Opportunity Workplace and an Affirmative Action Employer.
