Our Military Aircraft Group is seeking aManufacturing Engineer/CNC Programmerto join our Prismatic Manufacturing Group in East Aurora, NY. This is your opportunity to join a high-impact team where innovation meets precision, and your expertise drives the development of cutting-edge aerospace components.

As a Manufacturing Engineer/CNC Programmer, you'll be at the forefront of bothnew product developmentandcontinuous improvementof existing manufacturing processes. You'll work hands-on with milled parts, applying advanced CNC programming and machining knowledge to solve challenges and optimize performance.

As a Manufacturing Engineer/CNC Programmer, you will:

  • Develop and optimize CNC Mill machining processes for both new and legacy components.

  • Create detailed CNC programs and manufacturing instructions that meet rigorous engineering specifications.

  • Define operation sequences, tooling, gauging, and machine requirements for precision part fabrication.

  • Troubleshoot shop floor issues, including tooling, gauging, workholding, and inspection challenges.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve manufacturing problems and enhance producibility.

  • Create detailed operation sheets and NC programs to produce high-precision machined parts and sub-assemblies.

  • Review engineering drawings for manufacturability and recommend design improvements.

  • Assist in the creation of machine-ready code and be hands-on in the production environment, assisting with program prove-outs and troubleshooting.

  • Estimate setup/run times and tooling hours; contribute to cost estimation for new business proposals.

  • Mentor junior engineers and lead continuous improvement initiatives in processes and equipment.

To be considered for Manufacturing Engineer/CNC Programmer, here's what you'll need to bring with you:

  • ABachelor's degreein a technical field with3+ yearsof relevant professional experience, or anAssociate degreewith6+ yearsof relevant professional experience, or aHigh School Diploma/GEDwith8+ yearsof proven professional experience

  • Proficiency in CNC Milling Machining, including multi-axis vertical or horizontal machining centers

  • Hands-on experience withmachine setup and operation

  • Eligibility to access U.S. export-controlled information

It'd be great if you also had:

  • Expertise in programming, setup, operation, and troubleshooting of complex CNC machining processes, especially 5-axis Mill machines

  • Familiarity with Okuma 5-Axis Mill Machines

  • A degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering

  • Background in the aerospace industry

  • Experience with machine automation integration

  • Skills in inspection of machined parts

  • Hands-on experience machining stainless steel, titanium, and aluminum

  • Proficiency in CNC Programming using Siemens NX

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles; Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus

Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $75,000.00-$115,000.00 Annually

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
