OVERVIEW The Operations Supervisor provides leadership for the whole shift. They establish effective relationships with all employees to foster a team workplace where cooperation, innovation, and manufacturing capabilities are used to solve problems. They drive sustainable performance through leveraging people and process and creating an environment where learning is meaningful for the business and the employee (connected to results, drives out losses, helps build the employee's capability). The Operations Supervisor leads the operational plan, and they are responsible for the Run results and support the Improve results for their shift. The performance metrics include ownership of Human Safety, Food Safety, Quality, Performance, Cost, and Engagement. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Safety:

Process Leadership and Ownership:

- Driving System Utilization (DSU):
- Support the creation and execution of the platform improvement plan.
- Daily Direction Setting (DDS):
- Responsible for the execution, results and process health of Shift DDS, inclusive of changeovers.
- Operations Foundational Systems:
- Responsible to integrate operations foundation systems to secure equipment basic conditions (CIL/CL/DH) across the shift.
- Produce safe quality product by running to target specification.
- Learning System:
- Responsible for the delivery of the shift learning plan.
- Identify skill gaps, develop training plans and track employee progress.
Know your Operation, Data and Technology:

- Gain working knowledge to collect, analyze and interpret manufacturing data to make informed decisions (overuse, performance).
- Build a comprehensive understanding of the production system, equipment and the product transformation process.
- Develop strong understanding of inventory management principles, material specifications, quality control procedures, and traceability systems for Ingredients, Materials and Finished Products.
- Deepen understanding of daily management and process ownership across the team (examples: DH, CL, CIL, etc.).
- Secure fluency of Theory of Operation (TOO) and Problem-Solving tools and processes (IR, UPS, QCO).
- Increase proficiency in labor and creating, maintaining, and utilizing a training/skills matrix to identify skill gaps, develop training plans and track employee progress.
Back-Up Coverage:

- This position will provide backup support as needed, ensuring business continuity and operational efficiency.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma
- 1 year of manufacturing or frontline leadership experience
- Demonstrated leadership and working in a highly collaborative environment
- Success in driving results through process and teamwork
- Proven success reducing losses and improving performance in a manufacturing setting
- Demonstrated technical capability and knowledge of unit operations and machinery (at least one production platform)
- Skilled at communicating between work groups, cross-functional resources, and other members of the plant
- Foundational knowledge of data analysis systems (examples: SAP, Maximo, Manufacturing Analytics, MQIS) and decision making for results
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate's degree with preferred major of study; Technical, Science, or Engineering
- 2 years of manufacturing experience

The salary range for this position is $68700.00 - $103200.00 / Annually. At General Mills we strive for each employee's pay at any point in their career to reflect their experiences performance and skills for their current role. The salary range for this role represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, educations, skills, work experience, certifications, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
