Gas Engine Disassembly Technician

Cleveland Brothers, the largest Cat dealer in Pennsylvania, northern West Virginia and western Maryland, has an immediate opportunity for a Gas Engine Disassembly Technician.

Cleveland Brothers Equipment Co., Inc., your local Caterpillar dealership, is looking for a highly motivated self-starter to join our growing team of established and successful professionals.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Requires a mechanical or electronic aptitude with a good working knowledge various procedures and practices to be effective in meeting disassembly production cycle times
* Performs duties safely
* Use of various tools provided in the work area to perform disassembly duties to the component level
* Use of lifting devices and cranes to move components weighing more than 40 Lbs
* Follows documented procedures in standard work
* Operates industrial sized pressure washer
* Disassembles in an organized manner to maintain steady flow of components into the process
* Identifies and documents component abnormalities during disassembly
* Uses principles of 5S, continuous improvement, and standard work to eliminate waste
* Keeps tools and work area clean and orderly
* Contributing team member
* Effective communication skills

Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:

* High School diploma or equivalent
* Technical school or certification in a related discipline preferred
* Heavy equipment and industrial machine mechanical experience
* Manufacturing experience
* Experience in lean manufacturing
* Experience working in a "team environment"
* Intermediate proficiency with Standard Operating Procedures or Standard Work
* Basic computer skills
