POSITION: DIRECTOR OF IT Summary: The Director of Information Technology's primary responsibility is to oversee the operation of the IT department and partner across enterprise business partners to set technology strategy, evaluate current and future technology needs and ensure delivery of capabilities driving the business objectives of the organization. This individual's principal goals are to develop and manage application portfolios for each department and to attain all IT service level agreements for the user community within the organization. These tasks will be balanced against prudent and effective adherence to standard security requirements as recommended by regulators and security consultants. The Director of IT will be the primary strategic advisor for enterprise functions to plan, coordinate, direct, and design all operational activities of the IT department, as well as provide direction and support for IT solutions that enhance mission-critical business operations. The Director of IT will work closely with decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization and to meet all regulatory expectations and requirements pertaining to security and integrity. Key Result Areas:
- Establish end-to-end model for enterprise technology strategy.
- Establish IT service delivery and operations excellence framework for IT service desk.
- Manage application release management, application stability, project and solutions delivery for enterprise systems.
- Formulate and deploy near and 3 to 5 year technology strategic plans for acquiring and enabling efficient and cost-effective solutions.
- Define and align roadmaps, manage the project portfolio and identify innovative opportunities.
- Establish a strong technical foundation and build a team of hands-on technologists who can help further your vision.
- Establish and review IT performance metrics, initiate continuous improvement actions, and drive cost efficiency measures.
- Manage IT department operational and strategic planning, including business requirements, project planning, and organizing and negotiating the allocation of resources.
- Where necessary, re-engineer applications support to ensure it aligns with business processes, tactical planning, security requirements and strategic vision.
- Define and communicate project milestones, service level agreements, and resource allocation to Operations/IT executive team, department leads, support staff, and end users.
- Develop and review the budget for IT department and ensure it complies with stated corporate goals, guidelines, and objectives.
- Review performance of IT systems to determine operating costs, productivity levels, and recommend and propose upgrade requirements when necessary.
- Benchmark, analyze, report on, and make recommendations for the improvement of the IT infrastructure and IT systems.
- Develop or review acquisition requirements for all hardware and software upgrades, reviews submitted bids for compliance with stated requirements, and make the appropriate award.
- Authorize and oversee the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, and support of all hardware and software based on companywide needs.
- Direct solution reviews on potential technologies and implementations in support of new initiatives, opportunities, and procurement efforts.
- Oversee provision of end-user services, including help desk and technical support services.
- Develop, maintain, and implement all IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, and user standards.
- Oversee negotiation and administration of vendor, outsourcer, and consultant contracts and service agreements.
- Manage IT staffing, including recruitment, supervision, coaching, scheduling, development, evaluation, and disciplinary actions.
- Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the organization's executives, department heads, and end users regarding pertinent IT activities.
- Maintain internal documents for IT such as the Policy and Procedures manual, FDICIA records, Disaster Recovery and Backup Plans.
- Participate in External and Internal Audits and ensure that the IT controls and procedures meet the requirements of oversight agencies.
- Develop and manage the relationships with key third parties to ensure their work is in keeping with Bank expectations.
- Contribute to the effective team management of all bank problems, issues and opportunities.
- Stay on top of industry, regulatory and related technology trends. Complete appropriate analyses and research to make appropriate recommendations for change and upgrades as considered necessary.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology / Computer Science or degree in other field with 10+ years of IT experience.
- Working knowledge of Financial Services or similar industry related security needs and familiarity with enterprise storage, virtualization, security, database, telecommunications, and network technologies.
- Working knowledge of monitoring and security tools such as Conditional Access, Network Access Control, SIEM, Vulnerability Management, and Firewall technologies.
- 10+ years of experience in IT management and excellent organizational and leadership skills
- 15+ years in Information Technology of experience working in IT operations, supervising technology teams, and overseeing large information technology projects
- Ability to lead, teach and mentor others.
- Experience in controlling an information technology budget.
- Experience in analysis, implementation and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications.
- Ability to work with end users in applying Financial Services or related technologies to work environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with teams across the entire organization.
- Work collaboratively with all departments within the Bank to meet their technology needs.
- Ability to recognize, analyze and understand the issues and communicate regularly to internal customer base to earn appropriate level of confidence, trust and respect.
- Ability to work very flexible work schedule; i.e., weekends and evenings.
