About the role

We are looking for a dynamicHR Adviser (Fixed-Term 12 month) to provide Human Resources operational support to our mine in Boron, California.This is a great opportunity for a people-driven adviser to oversee and perform daily human resource functions and manage projects.

The People Services Team forms the delivery of our human resources function. It also offers global expertise and services in areas of recruitment and day-to-day operations.

This role is a great opportunity to work with a collaborative team and continue your development as a skilled HR adviser. You'll experience a rewarding work environment and support broader work with remote teams. Reporting to the Human Resource Team Lead, you will:

  • Provide coaching and support to leaders and employees on HR systems, processes, policies, procedures, and programs
  • Process appropriate status changes such as new hires, salary information, and updates to personnel files
  • Partner with and support leaders and colleagues with activities as well as help us to achieve our objectives
  • Provide employee relations support and work with bargaining units in a professional and confidential manner
  • Provide support in Change Management, Performance Management, Group HR Initiatives, and Conflict Management,
  • Support offshore recruiting teams and hiring leaders with the implementation and improvement of our new talent acquisition process

What you need to succeed in this role

  • A bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field and/or equivalent experience working in HR
  • Three or more years of relevant HR experience including a minimum of two years of employee relations experience
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively apply knowledge of human resource laws and policies and communicate with stakeholders
  • Extensive experience with MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), experience with SAP will be beneficial
  • Skills in prioritization, planning, multi-tasking, and time management
  • A PHR/SPHR certification or equivalent is preferred but not required
