If you're a Test Technician, we have an exciting opportunity for you. Woodward is hiring a Operations Technician, focusing on Non-Destructive Testing to support our Loves Park Campus in Loves Park, IL on 1st shift. This position will be responsible for testing critical components to maintain high standards of safety and quality. What You Will Be Doing * Inspecting and validating hardware per applicable processes (e.g., magnetic particle, ultrasonic, radiography, radioscopy, load tests, casting inspection, penetrate inspection). * Writing Non-Conformance Reports (NCR's) to document findings that do not align with customer or company specifications * Completing necessary paperwork and document results via company specific and MS programs and systems. * Collaborating and working with engineering, maintenance and leadership groups to keep projects flowing through to finish, updating status and instructions as needed. * Reading and interpreting blueprints on a regular basis to complete testing procedures * Completing courses, training and testing to become validated in company processes * Setting up and operating various testing equipment/stands, including but not limited to X-ray, magnetic particle, vapor degreaser, florescent penetration, etc. What We Are Looking For Level 1: * High School Diploma or equivalent is required * Previous manufacturing experience is highly desired Level 2: * High School Diploma or equivalent is required * 12 months or more in a non-destructive testing or similar role is strongly preferred Physical Activities: * Moderate physical activity requiring agility and dexterity, including walking, standing, or bending; and lifting or moving objects up to 20 pounds. * Ability to stand for entire shift. * Work is performed in an area with moderate risk or discomfort that may require special safety precautions, such as wearing protective clothing or gear. * May be required to pass Near vision and/or Color vision examinations
