LOCATION

This is a hybrid (virtual/onsite) position with required onsite days on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday assigned to the One Energy Plazalocated in Jackson,MI. The selected candidate must be within a commutable distance or willing to relocate (relocation package is available for those that qualify).


GENERAL SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The Associate Tariff Analyst will evaluate, review, and modify tariffs in the Company's gas and electric rate books. They are responsible for validating rate changes in the Company's billing system, including bill messages and bill print, to ensure accurate customer invoices. They will also collaborate with business partners to ensure compliance with rates, tariffs, and regulatory requirements.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor public utility commissions for changes in regulatory policies and procedures
  • Assist in preparation of rate case exhibits and testimony to support proposed tariff changes
  • Review of billing invoices following transport to production impacting rate configuration
  • Participate in assigned project teams
  • Research billing issues, including customer complaints
  • Support of Information Asset Management
  • Other duties as assigned may be necessary



KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to analyze and interpret information, conduct research, and coordinate time sensitive matters
  • Ability to influence and build relationships
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, tasks and assignments
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Skills in technical writing and proofreading


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, English, Political Science, Finance, Legal or Engineering

    • (OR) Associate's degree in Business, English, Political Science, Finance, Legal or Engineering with two (2) or more years of experience in regulatory, rates or billing with interest in utility operations
    • (OR) High school diploma with four (4) or more years of experience in regulatory, rates, billing with interest in utility operations
