Postdoctoral Fellow

Afull-time post-doctoral position focused on studying human memory is available in the University of Missouri, Department of Neurosurgery in Columbia, MO starting immediately. This role involves collecting and analyzing human intracranial electrophysiological data, including local field potentials and single unit activity recorded from patients with epilepsy as well as applying brain stimulation in novel ways.

We are seeking candidates who are creative, motivated, and can work independently. Must hold a Ph.D.in neuroscience, biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, data science, or a related field.Experience in digital signal processing and experience using MATLAB required. Candidates must have a strong research background, with a record of publications in neuroscience. Candidates will be expected to participate in independent laboratory research and to write scholarly manuscripts. Candidates should have strong computational, quantitative, and/or engineering skills, with proficiency in developing custom code for data analysis. Candidates must be willing to perform experiments in a clinical setting and will interact with clinical staff, graduate students, and must have excellent spoken and written English skills.
