Position Details:

Behavioral Technicians receive comprehensive training in evidence-based interventions, including Parent-Child Interaction Therapy for Selective Mutism (PCIT-SM), used to treat children with selective mutism (SM). This position supports both administrative and clinical responsibilities, assisting the program director in preparing and executing the program. This is a part-time (20 hours per week), non-exempt, fully on-site position located in our NYC headquarters office.

You Will:

  • Provide logistical and administrative support to the Selective Mutism Service, including organizing materials, managing supplies, and supporting smooth day-to-day operations and overall program coordination.
  • Support the planning and delivery of group programs within the Selective Mutism Service, including weekly SM groups and Brave
  • Provide detailed progress reports for patients and/or parents and supervisors.
  • Attend regularly recurring team meetings and group session meetings.
  • Support the planning and delivery of programs inclusive of onboarding and training logistics.
  • Support patient care under the supervision of a licensed clinician.
  • Enter and collect patient data, maintaining accurate records in the electronic health system.

You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, human services or related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year's prior experience working with children and young adults and/or in a clinical setting.
  • Passion for the Child Mind Institute's mission.

Pay Range

The salary range for the position is posted. Factors such as candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations affect the salary offered within this range. In addition, this salary may be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state and depending on the role), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
