Job Overview

The Video + Event Production Intern participates in Macy's 8-week Summer Internship Program in Corporate Communications, gaining experience in areas such as live webcasts, podcasts, editing, filming and running a studio. The intern gains insight into video production at a large, dynamic corporation..

This internship takes place in New York, New York, beginning in June 2025.

What You Will Do



  • Engage in professional development through structured, hands-on learning.
  • Help create and implement video communications focused on inspiring our 100,000 colleagues across all parts of the organization as well as externally though social media, live tv interviews and pre-taped stories.
  • Help with the development of project schedules status, resources, deliverables, risks and issues, and timelines throughout the project.
  • Help with the management of changes to project scope, schedule, and facilitate client acceptance.
  • Help with executive level (C-suite) video production.
  • Assist in live media interviews and work with outside broadcast production teams for live and pre-taped interviews.
  • Ability to handle some aspects of filming as needed (Operate camera, mic participants for sound, run teleprompter, etc....)
  • Ability to video edit as needed (Adobe Premiere)
  • In addition to the essential duties mentioned above, other duties may be assigned.


Skills You Will Need

Organizational & Project Management - Experience and familiarity working across multiple platforms and technologies including but not limited to video development, graphic design, digital media and social media.

Analytical & Problem-Solving Abilities - Ability to build consensus within the organization and to work through others in achieving desired results and objectives. Flexibility in response to change.

Collaboration & Relationship Building Team collaboration and interpersonal skills required to effectively manage a project throughout the deliverable process.

Adaptability & Learning Agility - Familiar with Premiere, Wetransfer, Sharepoint, Vimeo and other video related platforms.

Who You Are



  • Rising juniors enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program with one year remaining, and a GPA of 3.0 or higher are encouraged to apply. Film/Television production major preferred.
  • Regularly required to sit, talk, hear; use hands/fingers to touch, handle, and feel. Occasionally required to move about the workplace and reach with hands and arms. Requires close vision.
  • May involve moving or lifting items under 10 pounds
  • Able to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs.
