Position Summary

The Data Integration Specialist is responsible for seamlessly integrating data across multiple platforms, ensuring the accurate and timely transfer of student information between school districts in a higher education environment. This role involves working with SQL, XML, JSON, SOQL, and Salesforce, utilizing tools like Task Factory, Boomi, and Workday Studio to transform and synchronize data between Student Information Systems (SIS) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of SQL, XML, JSON, SOQL, Salesforce, Task Factory, Boomi, and Workday Studio.

  • Ability to develop and maintain data transformation scripts and workflows.

  • Strong understanding of data integration processes to ensure data accuracy and consistency.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve data integration issues.

  • Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging technologies in data integration.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with IT teams and stakeholders.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and adjust to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment while working independently or as a team.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Must be ethical, have integrity, strong interpersonal and analytical skills when interacting with stakeholders and constituents.

  • Experience with data management in a higher education environment is preferred.

Physical Requirements

Normal physical job functions performed within a standard office environment. Reasonable accommodations may be made to individuals with physical challenges to perform the essential duties and responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher plus two (2) years of experience in data integration or related fields.

  • Official transcripts will be required.

  • Must have a valid driver's license for off-site travel.

  • Work hours may extend beyond the regular, Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. workday, including weekends and holidays, to provide immediate support due to system failures on a 24/7 basis.

  • Bilingual or Multi-Lingual preferred.

  • Official transcript will be required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing and executing data integration processes to maintain the flow of contact, application, and grade information.

  • Manage data exchange between Dallas College and our partner institutions and school districts.

  • Ensuring data accuracy and consistency across different systems.

  • Developing and maintaining data transformation scripts and workflows.

  • Collaborating with IT teams and stakeholders to optimize data transfer processes.

  • Troubleshooting and resolving data integration issues.

  • Staying up to date with industry best practices and emerging technologies in data integration.

  • Providing advanced support for data integration and management.

  • Documenting data integration processes and workflows.

  • Participating in team meetings and discussions to achieve end results.

  • Developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with stakeholders and constituents.

  • Serving as project leader and/or assistant on complex data integration projects.

  • Planning and prioritizing assignments to meet specified deadlines.

  • Providing excellent customer service.

  • Completes required Dallas College Professional Development training hours per academic year.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
