Overview Ready to shape the future of science and global health? A leading nonprofit biological resources and standards organization, ATCC, is seeking a Supervisor, Lab Operations to work onsite in Manassas, VA. The Supervisor, Laboratory Operations will supervise four groups that function as a central services team supporting commercial and federal solutions manufacturing labs. This position coordinates and directs daily activities and demonstrates technical expertise. This role will oversee 4 groups: Media, Labeling, Kitting, and Glassware, with a total of 11 direct reports. These direct reports make up a central services team that supports ATCC production labs in the following areas:
Media - Ensure consistent quality media using organic materials and chemicals in various formulations to help biological growth of ATCC products
Our ideal candidate will have a background in Chemistry, Biology, or a related science field, with experience in media, and prior experience with direct reports, as this role will supervise 11 hourly staff supporting multiple manufacturing labs. Benefits The expected salary range for this position is $105,000 to $115,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional incentive compensation including regular merit increases and the corporate bonus program.
