Inventory Control & Constrained Products Analyst

The Inventory Control and Constrained Product Analyst will assist and support the Inventory Control Manager and Ops Teams in the review, tracking, action, etc. of constrained products impacting health system operations. This role will monitor open SC Operations orders, lead the Constrained Item Review and Action Team meetings and partner with Procurement to source product ensuring minimal system operation disruption.

Essential Job Statements

Lead the Constrained Product Review and Action Team - updating related trackers and approved sub records.

Monitor and analyze inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability and minimize costs.

Predict future inventory needs based and investigate and rectify inventory discrepancies.

Partner with designated Procurement Resources to review open SC Operations Purchase Order lines. Source, purchase as directed by Inventory Control Manager. Track on appropriate trackers for review by the Constrained Item Review and Action Team

Triage the priority of review of constrained products.

Review perpetual inventory 0 DIOH report and work with Inventory Control Manager to shift product across the system or bring forward during the Team meeting.

Manage correspondence with Ops Team about open purchase order lines.

Assist with the research when a SC Ops managed product is discontinued - update the discontinued item tracker with appropriate information.

Look for opportunities to standardize across perpetual and par locations as a part of the response to product disruption resolution.

Employment Qualifications

Required Education:Associate degree or equivalent work experience in Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain or Operations.

Preferred Education:Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Minimum Qualifications

Years and Type of Required Experience: 5 years related Healthcare, Materials Management or Supply Chain experience required.

Preferred Experience:One-year prior experience in the supervision of a warehouse and/or storeroom is preferred.Supervisory experience or proven career progression preferred.An equivalent combination of education and experience would be considered.

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:Ability to gather, synthesize, summarize, and analyze the information. Possess the skill set to solve complex problems requiring the use of analytical, interpersonal, or technical principles and in depth cross functional knowledge. Ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and concisely, orally and in writing. Possess the interpersonal skills to deal with conflicting views and issues and mediate fair solutions. Ability to establish and maintain a professional working relationship. Strong detail orientation and ability to prioritize workload with multiple projects simultaneously.Advanced computer knowledge including MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:Thorough understanding of the Materials Management Information System (MMIS) preferred. Workday experience a plus.Demonstrated ability to take the initiative and recommend new programs and processes under the guidance of the Director of Operations. Ability to facilitate, promote and model a professional philosophy and style consistent with VCU Health's mission and vision. Be responsive and have a collaborative work style.Possess the interpersonal skills to deal with conflicting views and issues and mediate fair solutions.

Combination of education and experience in lieu of a degree.

Working Conditions: Periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads may occur.General office environment. Required to car travel to off-site locations, occasionally in adverse weather conditions.May have periods of constant interruptions. Prolonged periods of working alone.
