This position will partner with the Billing Liaison to manage the collection of all past due invoices. They will follow up directly with clients and will work with the internal account team when issues arise. They will serve as back up to our Cash Collections Clerk and will process all payments when the Clerk is out of the office.

Duties and Responsibilities

Collections:

  • Reach out to clients via email and phone to alert them of unpaid invoices and ask for payment.

  • Coordinate with the account team including Applications Support, Managing Director, and Billing Analyst when issues arise that may result in a credit or adjustment to the amount due.

  • Run reports to pull updated aging balances.

  • Partner with the Billing Liaison to create monthly Accounts receivable reports that outline our current balances and at risk clients.

Cash Processing:

  • Serve as a backup to our Cash Collections Clerk. When s/he is out of the office this position will be responsible for:

  • Downloading our daily payment file from the bank.

  • Matching payments to open invoices.

  • Posting check, ACHH, and credit card payment to the invoices in our financial software system.

Qualifications

  • 2-3 Years of relevant experience is preferred.

  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

  • Experience with the Microsoft Suite of products, specifically Outlook and Excel.

Education

  • Associates degree is required, with a preferred concentration in Business or Finance.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $40,000 - $50,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus or commission tied to achieved results.
