POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for managing all executional aspects of FMM claims to vendors in its supply chain. Duties include working with Manufacturing, QA, PP&C, Contracts and the Purchasing Department to manage vendors completing repairs as aligned with a vendor claim while onsite, negotiating invoice offsets arising out of vendor trial cards and other subcontract execution matters.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Duties can change and may be reassigned as needed.




  • Manage Vendor Claim mailbox in Microsoft Outlook
  • Manage and process all vendor claims to include:


  • Supplier Claims
  • Subcontractor Claims
  • Hardware Problem Report (HPR) Claims
  • Freight Claims
  • Warranty Claims
  • Investigating the claims


  • Develop and maintain a process for continual audit of charges to the even numbered Non-Construction ship related projects to ensure charges are being posted properly (i.e. CHITs and Claims) by Contract Line Item Number (CLIN) and effort codes
  • Assist with fact finding questions on vendor claim after submittal to the vendor
  • Conduct weekly vendor claim status meeting, monthly internal program review, and attend other meetings as necessary
  • Generate and submit routine vendor claim metrics, summaries, and status reports
  • Freight Claim - damaged product received in the warehouse, file claim with freight company
  • Assist with supplier claims against FMM
  • Assess opportunity to utilize product warranty
