Job Description -

We are seeking a candidate for the 3rd shift. We are open to training individuals with fewer years of experience, provided they have some relevant experience.

The standard working hours are from 10 PM to 6 AM during an 8-hour shift. However, when overtime is required, the hours will be from 8 PM to 6 AM. The workweek begins on Sunday night. Once hired, the candidate will be eligible for differential pay.

Purpose

The primary responsibility of this position is to set up and operate CNC lathes with Fanuc Controls. Lathes are equipped with 6" - 50" chucks.

Functions

ESSENTIAL

* Perform own setups

* Read and interpret blueprints

* Transfer CNC programs via DNC system

* Perform own inspection

* Adjust speeds and feed for various materials

* Complete all necessary paperwork

ADDITIONAL

* Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

* This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Reporting Relationship

* Reports to Manager, Shop leadman

* Will take direction from more senior/lead machinist.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

* Minimum (8) years recent experience as a CNC Lathe Machinist

* Prior experience with CNC lathes with Fanuc controls.

* Ability to edit programs for tool position, adjust speeds and feeds and set or adjust offsets and Work Shifts

* Computer skills and shop math
