Summary: The Quality Assurance Specialist shall perform on-site QA services at Madigan Army Medical Center, Joint Base Lewis McChord (MAMC, JBLM). This support will include but is not limited to: evaluate schedules, work performance quality, safety oversight, coordination effectiveness, perform documentation reviews, assist in the development of repair scopes of work, work with end user to allow for effective repair project activities and QA duties as identified by the MAMC, JBLM Facilities staff for all operations, repair and maintenance work in progress or in planning stages at MAMC, JBLM.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
- Shall coordinate actions daily with the FM, PM or staff personnel, as required.
- Attend all meetings relevant to the execution of the operations, repair and maintenance program.
- Shall be prepared to provide an oral, weekly report to government officials in order to apprise them of project status, as necessary.
- Ensures conformance with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) codes, The Joint Commission (TJC) standards, safety standards, and other agency criteria.
- Coordinates with facility.
- Gathers input from the facility manager.
- Makes field surveys to investigate existing layouts and conditions, and reports to COR or other appropriate Government officials.
- Coordinates with facility infection control officers to ensure compliance.
- Coordinates with facility safety officers to ensure compliance.
- Coordinates with facility safety officers to implement effective safety policies.
- Reports compliance issues to COR or other applicable Government official for action by the Government.
- Provides timely coordination with hospital staff to ensure proper reviews and notification of projects and utility outages.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of quality assurance principles, methodologies, and tools.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management and relationship building skills.
- Strong coordination, communication, and exceptional attention to detail skills.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office Applications.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years related experience with hospital safety requirements to include Environment of Care and Life Safety standards.
- Demonstrated Quality Assurance Support experience from preliminary assessments through construction and initial operations of Military Treatment Facilities (MTFs) or civilian healthcare construction.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Ability to pass a NACI background investigation and acquire a Common Access Card (CAC).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related experience.
- Quality assurance certifications (e.g., ISTQB) are a plus.
