Are you passionate about dimensional accuracy and thrive at the intersection of quality and engineering? Join our team as a CMM Programmer, where you'll play a critical role in inspecting precision components, writing robust programs in Calypso or PC-DMIS, and driving quality assurance through advanced metrology.

In this hands-on role, you'll support product launches, lead PPAP-related efforts, and act as a technical resource for quality systems, SPC, and continuous improvement initiatives-all while mentoring others and collaborating across engineering, production, and quality teams.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop and write CMM programs for new and existing parts using PC-DMIS, Zeiss Calypso, or Renishaw.

  • Interpret blueprints, models, and GD&T to ensure high-precision inspection protocols.

  • Execute and document First Article Inspections (FAI) and Capability Studies to support PPAP submissions.

  • Perform dimensional analysis and create inspection plans aligned with customer and internal specifications.

  • Manage and maintain calibration and metrology equipment in accordance with ANSI/ASME standards.

  • Troubleshoot and optimize CMM programs for accuracy, efficiency, and repeatability.

  • Use Minitab and other statistical tools to analyze data and recommend corrective actions.

  • Design or specify fixturing and gaging necessary for part inspection.

  • Create and maintain inspection documentation, including ballooned drawings and detailed reports.

  • Support internal audits, participate in project kick-off teams, and collaborate on continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Mentor junior technicians, promoting a collaborative, high-standards quality culture.

What You Bring:

  • Proficiency in CMM programming with PC-DMIS (required); Calypso and Renishaw experience (preferred).

  • Strong working knowledge of GD&T, blueprint reading, and dimensional analysis.

  • Ability to write inspection programs from 3D models and customer drawings.

  • Hands-on experience conducting inspections using comparators, gauges, fixtures, or Faro Arms (a plus).

  • Familiarity with ballooning software such as DataPage (a plus).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and statistical software like Minitab.

  • Solid understanding of SPC, quality systems, and control plans.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong documentation skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities; capable of working across departments and with suppliers.

Education & Experience:

  • Associate degree or technical certification in Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field (preferred).

  • 2-5 years of CMM programming experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD software is a plus.

Key Competencies:

  • Analytical Thinking - Identify root causes and solve complex inspection challenges.

  • Quality Focus - Committed to precision, documentation, and meeting regulatory/customer requirements.

  • Team Collaboration - Able to mentor, support, and work cross-functionally with engineering, quality, and production.

  • Adaptability - Flexible with changing methods, priorities, and tooling demands.

  • Initiative - Proactively drive improvements in processes, tools, and documentation.
