We are currently seeking a Test Engineer to be part of our dynamic, high exposure test team in Lakehurst, NJ. The Test Engineer will provide technical support to the government for Testing and Evaluation of aircraft launch and recovery (ALRE) systems such as Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System (EMALS). The ideal candidate will be able to perform the following duties, as well as possess the following education and experience:

Duties:



  • Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on Test Division ALRE systems such as the Electromagnetic Catapult.
  • Develop, review, and maintain test plans, procedures, test data, test briefs, quotes and test reports.
  • Responsible for operating and troubleshooting ALRE Facility issues during test operations.
  • Analyze test results, identify discrepancies or malfunctions, and work with relevant teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Participate in program and systems engineering technical reviews for EMALS.
  • Provide recommendations for improvements or modifications based on testing results and operational feedback.
  • Act as the Test Engineer aboard CVN 78 re-certification & CVN 79 commissioning efforts
  • Develop, coordinate and execute test programs as a Test Engineer


Required Experience:



  • 3-5 years' experience in the engineering field with 3+ year experience with ALRE or similar systems.
  • Experience with using CAD tools
  • Experience with high power testing and evaluation processes
  • In-depth knowledge of system integration, troubleshooting, and test methodology for complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly document technical findings and communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance
  • Ability to support travel to work aboard US Carriers


Required Education:



  • Engineering or Science degree, preferably a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering


Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Compensation at Precise Systems is determined by various factors, including education, experience, skills, competencies, and contract-specific requirements. The salary range for this position is $56,035.20 to $102,128.00 (annualized USD). This range represents the standard pay for this role and is just one component of Precise Systems' total compensation package.
