Overview

ABOUT THE POSITION

VHB is seeking a Marketing Coordinator to join the team. This position assists and/or prepares in drafting and producing routine proposals, qualifications, and other marketing materials with close supervision and support from a regional team of marketing professionals. Coordinator positions are tasked with completing all assignments in compliance with client deadlines, proposal budgets, and quality expectations.

This position will be actively trained and mentored in all marketing activities across the entire Client-Visibility-Pursuit (C-V-P) lifecycle, with primary focus on pursuits and exposure to VHB's Focus Forward Approach and Client Focus Program.

This role follows a hybrid work model, combining in-office and remote work. Employees will have the flexibility to work from home while also being expected to attend in-office meetings and collaborate on-site as required.

Based out of any of our VHB New England offices, which include Wethersfield, CT; Providence, RI; Watertown, MA; Boston, MA; Springfield, MA; Worcester, MA; Bedford, NH; Winooski, VT; Montpelier, VT; South Portland, ME; Augusta, ME; and Westbrook, ME.

Pursuits

    Supports proposal and preparation efforts through all phases of proposal development. May also support proposal pre-positioning pieces and interview efforts.
  • Creates and helps maintain content for marketing and creative design libraries and CRM systems.
  • Assists and/or prepares basic/routine qualifications packages and proposals.
  • Assists in document production and quality assurance (e.g., copying, binding, review, and delivery).
  • Assists with and/or coordinates client presentations.
  • Attends and/or conducts meetings with marketing and technical staff members.

Clients and Visibility

  • Supports conferences and other industry events/sponsorships.
  • Assists with and/or prepares visibility pieces (articles, web pages, social media posts, etc.)
  • Adheres to and supports compliance with VHB corporate branding standards, formats, and template styles.
  • May attend and/or participate in Client Focus and Market Team meetings, supporting our Focus Forward Business Development program and VHB's client focus philosophies and strategies.

Qualifications

  • 0-3 years of proposal, writing, or marketing experience, preferably in A/E/C environment.
  • BA in English, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • Team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, InDesign, and Photoshop preferred.
  • Ability to work concurrently on multiple projects and meets deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and superior time management skills.
  • Willingness to travel, on occasion, to support specific marketing initiatives, clients and conferences.
  • Involvement in industry affiliations, preferred.
