Job Overview

Komatsu is embarking on a business transformation journey via SAP S/4 Hana implementation project. We are actively seeking a seasoned Test Analyst to join our corporate IT team. This role is working onsite and can be based at our corporate offices in Milwaukee, WI or Chicago, IL (near O'Hare). As a Senior SAP Test Analyst, you will be responsible for leading the testing efforts for Hana implementation project.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SAP Hana and ECC testing, including test strategy development, execution, defect management, and automation frameworks. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality SAP system delivery.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and testing needs. Define comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test scripts for SAP HANA modules.
  • Define testing scope, entry/exit criteria, and risk assessment for SAP implementations.
  • Provide guidance totesters and provide directions on test script documentation and review once they are ready.
  • Lead functional, integration, regression, UAT, and performance testing for SAP HANA project.
  • Ensure data integrity and business process validation across SAP modules.
  • Identify, log, and track defects using test management tools
  • Oversee the manual and automated test execution ensuring thorough coverage of functional requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices throughout the testing process.
  • Develop and implement test automation frameworks for SAP HANA using tools like Tricentis Tosca or other automation tools.
  • Automate end-to-end SAP business processes and execute test scripts.
  • Maintain and update automation scripts to align with system changes.
  • Drive continuous improvement in testing processes and methodologies.
  • Lead and mentor junior testers in SAP manual and automation testing best practices.
  • Work closely with SAP consultants, business users, and IT teams to ensure seamless implementation.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives in an Agile environment.
  • Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including developers, product managers, and clients, to provide status updates, escalate issues, and solicit feedback.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field or a combination of education/training and work experience equivalent to an advanced degree.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills - ability to effectively exchange ideas and information and effectively relate to others in order to accomplish work responsibilities.
  • 5+ years of testing of experience in SAP testing (SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC) preferably within the manufacturing industry.
  • 2+ years of overseeing testing teams (including internal testers and vendor partners)spanning multiple technologies and multiple testing types: Functional (including integration/system/data migrations etc.), automation, performance, and security.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP HANA modules (Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, Sales, Warehouse and logistics etc.).
  • 2+ years of experience in SAP Test Automation Tools - Tricentis Tosca with proven ability to achieve ROI within 6-8 months of initiating automation development effort.
  • Proficiency in manual testing methodologies, including test case design and execution.
  • Hands-on experience with defect tracking tools; 2+ years of hands-on coding/test automation scripting experience and can demonstrate ability to understand and articulate overall architecture of previously worked projects
  • Ability to travel occasionally, including internationally, to interact fully across the global Komatsu organization, with affiliates, dealers, and customers.
  • Relevant certifications in the testing domain are a plus.
  • SAP upgrade experience is a plus
  • Experience in analytics/reporting solution testing including validating data accuracy, report generation and integration with other reporting tools is a plus.

Additional Information

Hiring Range

At Komatsu, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays $$120,000 - 140,000. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including experience and location.
