Salary Range: $40.00-$43.00 Per Hour

SUMMARY: We are looking for a Fire Protection Technician to join our team, with a focus on servicing and maintaining fire suppression systems, including those integrated with commercial kitchen hoods. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, inspecting, testing, and repairing a variety of fire protection equipment such as fire alarms, sprinkler systems, fire extinguishers, and kitchen hood suppression systems. This role plays a critical part in helping our clients stay compliant with local fire codes and safety standards, especially in food service and commercial kitchen environments.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Install, inspect, test, repair, and maintain fire protection systems (sprinklers, alarms, extinguishers, etc.)
  • Perform routine service and maintenance of fire safety systems in accordance with local, state, and national codes.
  • Complete inspection reports and service documentation accurately and promptly.
  • Troubleshoot systems and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure all work meets NFPA standards, building codes, and customer requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members.
  • Stay up to date with fire safety standards and industry best practices.


QUALIFICATIONS:



  • NICET certifications (Level I or Higher)
  • Driver's License
  • Light lifting
  • Walking, standing and climbing for entire day
  • Travel by land, sea and/or aircraft to work locations


OTHER DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Water-Based Fire Protection System Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance (WBITM) certification.
